I actually considered uninstalling and going vanilla (manual configuration as I painstakingly have done in the past) plus there could be a problem with the user's system (meeee!) which removal/reinstall to ensure no conflict due to unforeseen configuration is helpful. P.s.: Suggestion: Uninstall options instills good confidence for nothing malicious and ensures there is no conflict if needed for removal. I'm not ruling out coincidental like you said! It's possible and hopefully an isolated incident due to personal system configuration. I believe due to possibly the directx install (Download and install DirectX Runtime June 2010.) using the tool, it caused an issue with my system prioritizing the wrong directx control, however.
